'PERSPECTIVES'
The word perspective, as used in architecture, painting, photography and other forms of art, is a method of conveying three dimentions and distance on a flat surface. There are different types of perspective, of line, of colour, spacial and inverted. Linear perspective is also called geometric and is a method used to convey depth using a central projection. This is the most natural way of showing perspective with objects rendered smaller as they recede in the distance. Artists are always searching for new ways of representing objects. Cubism rejected traditional perspective and proposed a geometrical simplification of objects and composition. These days we have 3D films and who knows what else man may create in the future. Apart from the above there are other meanings to the word perspective, such as opportunity or future possibilities, or as a specific predisposition. The title PERSPECTIVES gives the artist total freedom of interpretation.
