“CITIZEN PISZCZYK” – (DVD) – This is a sad black comedy about a certain Jan Piszczyk, a loser and an anti-hero, who despite his opportunist nature, always gets into trouble with the authorities. His bad luck keeps on chasing him from one prison to another, while government is still the same. Through his life we can see the East European realities of the '50s, including times after Stalin's death. Brilliant performance by Jerzy Stuhr. Also starring: Maria Pakulnis, Kazimierz Kaczor,Krystyna Tkacz and others.
